CURATOR'S NOTE
Crafted in hand-screen-printed cotton silk, the Shwe Dolman Sleeve Shirt balances relaxed comfort with timeless refinement. With a sharp band collar, embroidered lace tracing shoulder to cuff, and soft tie-ups at the sleeves bring delicate details, while the flowing silhouette exudes quiet sophistication. Each element has been meticulously crafted over hours of skilled labour, making it a wearable celebration of artistry and everyday luxury.
Note: The occasional irregularity in color, shade and print are characteristic of the hand made process. Each and every piece is as individual and distinct as you are. They are not to be treated as defects.
THE DESIGNER STORY
Inspired by the Japanese ideology of wabi-sabi, referring to that which is imperfect, impermanent, aged, humble and authentic, Ahmev carries an aesthetic that embraces the value of the passing of time, the seasoning of time and the elements, the handmade and the simple. Wabi-sabi is a way of being open to emotions and of acceptance; a state of mind and a state of feeling. The philosophy of wabi sabi is embodied in the design process, being showcased in the finished designs through the subtle hues, natural materials, frayed edges and the visible stitching and asymmetry.
