CURATOR'S NOTE

Full length neck gathered dress with little patch work embroidery to mend and repair. The dress has a small side slit to make it comfortable to walk and two inseam pockets. Closure for the neck is a back tie. A fun silhouette to style in many ways.

This product is made in Delhi with a fair wage factory. The factory specialises in small scale production, where we can reduce waste generation and manage factory waste by upcycling scraps into patchwork fabric. Each piece may come with an extra embroidery or patch but the overall look and feel of the piece are not changed. These pieces are a part of a limited edition collection, the stock is made till the raw material is available.

THE DESIGNER STORY

Recycling has always been a deeply rooted tradition and part of our lives, be it the tradition of making Kantha quilts out of the old clothing or transforming your mother's vintage sarees into a trendy attire. We have always valued the resources we had and loved to be a part of it and felt connected to the old charm and warmth, but all that is changing. Increasing industrialization, globalization, fast fashion, and ever-growing buying power among people have popularized a culture of quick disposable fashion.

The label DOODLAGE is a blend of sustainable and exclusive high street fashion. The brand aims to merge innovative designs with a sustainable technique of clothing to make fashion not just chic, but also Eco-friendly. The brand works at re-designing, re-constructing and recycling good quality industrial waste which majority comprises of post-production waste, deadstock and rejected shipments making sure that every product has its own identity.

Fabric:  Upcycled cotton (varied factory deadstock)

Delivery: 10-15 Days
Care Instructions: Mild Hand-wash. Hand wash separately, hang dry in shade. These fabrics are hand-dyed in small batches, so color may bleed initially.
